Slow Mo Guys

For our myth busting elective we had to find 3 interesting vids

This is when they pop a 6 feet balloon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nGaXY5Gxy4
This ones cool because it's interesting to see how a balloon pops
I think this is happening because it causes lots of tension causing it to pop

This is when they shoot a taser into bare skin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=576HwhU6PMM
I think this is cool because it shows how a taser works
The taser sends an electric shock through the body AND IT HURTS!!!

This is when they watch a cd shatter at 170,000 FPS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs7x1Hu29Wc
I think this is cool because there showing it at 170,000 FPS (1140 times slower than real life) and shatters by spinning at real high speed

Me And Leo's Debate

It was on drones should have licences

Leo:First off drones need licenses. I wouldn't have it any other way. It’s moronic to think people don’t need a license. Drones need licenses. They can be used in a perverted way and can be used is decapitation strikes.

Licenses should be enforced and to gain one criminal records should be checked and used in the utmost strictest conditions. No one else should say against having a license because of multiple reasons.

Who would be a peeping Tom or a micro assassin or just untrusted in their own community? We must enforce licenses and no one should say against. They are the only line of defense.
Although yes drones are helpful: taking beautiful shots of landscapes or helping to get into tight spots such as bushfires. It shouldn’t bother you if you are a good person qualifying for a license should not bother you.

Dylan: One of the multiple reasons is danger to the public. many drones crash, So I wouldn’t want somebody who doesn’t know how fly a drone crashing his drone into my window and shards of glass going everywhere and possibly cutting me in half.

There are also deadly sides to drones. But because technology can’t be stopped we can only enforce the strictest licenses to prevent anyone from sticking a makeshift bomb and blowing someone up.

Now going back to what leo said about peeping toms I don’t think I would want to find a drone with a camera watching me through the window it just disturbs me. Then theres also use of drones in the drug industry, they could transport drugs using a drone without the dealer getting caught and no one would ever know.

Leo: And yes they help with Real estate and photography but that doesn’t mean anything about NOT needing a license. Here are the facts:

The deaths that drones have caused are appalling. From June 2004 - september 2012 there have been around about 3,300 people killed in pakistan so imagine the deaths over the whole world

Drones are becoming a lethal weapon but we can’t just get rid of them we need to enforce a license to stop criminals

I think that if I did a survey the majority of people would want to put a strict license on drones.

Dylan: So to conclude whether you want a drone or you need one, you must have a license. Criminal records and tests could save you from a chunk of blades and plastic hurling at you.

You may not realise but these are just as deadly as a gun or a grenade. We need licenses and what Leo said it shouldn’t bother you having to apply for a license, if you are a good person doing good things of course you should have a drone, saving lives and taking beautiful shots of amazing scenery.

Camp Recount

Camp - Recount -
Plan From: That Was Camp Poem

Day 2

Ewwww!!! I shouted as the mud blasted into my mouth at the end of the waterslide.

As the whistle went for the start of the second day, we woke up got dressed and headed for the dining room for breakfast. After I had my baked beans Mrs Garland spoke to us about the upcoming day, we got told to put extra layers on because we were going to get wet and cold.

Our first activity was the waterslide. We all walked up the muddy slope till we got to the top of the slide. I was the first person to go down the slide. When I first hopped on to the slide I froze, from the water blasting into my back.

when I started to go down the slide. I heard shouting and laughing as I hit full speed, the bumps smashed against my body making the journey down not so likable, I hit the water with a splash.

Ewwww!!! I shouted as the mud blasted into my mouth at the end of the waterslide.

That Was Camp: Poem

That Was Camp

Have you ever felt camp?
Sure you have
Remember that time,
That you could never keep yourself dry
Because you're always getting wet.
or when you go down the waterslide
And it’s just bumpy all the way down
And when you get off your bum hurts.
That was camp.

Do you remember the sight of camp?
When you arrive
And you look down the massive cliff
Too see two tiny buildings at the bottom.
Or the flames
Exploding into the air
That was camp
Do you remember the smell of camp?
When you wake up in the morning
And you can smell baked beans being cooked
Or the smell of sweaty clothes
On the floor.
That was camp

Do you remember the taste of camp?
The food that was never perfect
But was possible eat
Or sneaking in lollies
And eating them during the night

That was camp.

We have to write quick writes almost everyday and the one that is being displayed is one where we had to go down the alphabet and after each sentence we had to go on to the next letter.

This is as far as I got:

  1. As the cars drove by
  2. behind the hills they drove
  3. Caitlin spotted a flash
  4. Deuce 3 window driving down the highway
  5. Everyone was staring at it.
  6. “Fire” someone called one of the drivers was staring at the deuce and crashed into a wall
  7. Great big flames flew into the air
  8. Drivers of cars jumped out of there window
  9. It grew and grew the flames started to spread
