My Poem For Homework

For homework last week we had to make a poem, It had to be on the first term at school. This is my poem and I hope you enjoy it:


My Poem:

The morning air fresh and the weather fair

heaps of people I've never met before all in the hall.

All  can hear is noise, then Silence… Names start being called out what teacher will I be with this Year.

My name gets called out and Mrs Goodwin is the teacher I will be with this year

The next couple of weeks go bye and I get to know more and more people and find out what other opportunities there are.

one of the opportunities is Tech its lots of fun and you get to do lots of exciting things.

Its almost the end of term there was lots of fun things to do and see I wonder what's next ill just have to wait and see.

Reading This Week

This week for reading we have been learning how to inference, infer and look for clues in reading. We used the first part of the hobbit for this reading activity. We had to take out information about  him and his house and the hardest bit was when we had to memorise four lines of the story.

 

The "Bugman's" Visit

Today we had had an early assembly because we had guests - Caroline Wallace and Ruud Kleinpaste AKA Bug-man. They were here because of the treemendous makeover we won last year.

He taught us lots of interesting stuff like how one third of the food we eat is pollinated and that 10kg of grass makes 1kg of meat. 100% of a fantail's diet is bugs. Also poison dart frogs eat poison ants then use the poison out of the ants as a second layer of poison on their skin.
